ATLAS

Indulge in the decadent urban-contemporary oasis that many call the “best bathroom in the house” at Black Star Farms Bed and Breakfast in Traverse City, Michigan. A remodel in 2020 transformed this bathroom into a luxurious retreat with dual sinks, a walk-in custom tiled shower, and a freestanding soaking tub. Wake up in the newly appointed mid-century modern bedroom to sunrise views of the horse pastures and stables.

BETELGUEZE

 This room features a king bed and a comfortable sitting area with a view of the back courtyard and woods, where deer are sometimes spotted at dusk. An exposed brick wall adds an urban element amid the classic furnishings. The bathroom is newly renovated and features a walk-in shower and dual vanities.

CAPELLA

Capella’s impressive four-post king bed is just the beginning of the space and comfort you will find during your stay. The remodeled bathroom features a walk-in glass shower and a charming pedestal sink.

CASTOR & POLLUX SUITE

Welcoming massive fireplace

This spacious two-room suite overlooks the vineyard and horse pastures. The main room includes a king bed, pull-out love seat, large screen TV over the fireplace, bistro table, and reading nooks. The extra bedroom has a king bed that can convert to two twins and is perfect for a girls’ getaway or people traveling with extra friends or family.

DIADEM SUITE

This honeymoon suite is one of our most popular accommodations. Watch a fire dance in the massive white marble fireplace from the king-size wrought iron bed. Relax in comfortable reclining chairs in front of a large screen TV, or grab a book and curl up in the dormer window seats. Luxuriate in the expansive bathroom, updated in 2021 with dual pedestal sinks, oversized tiled shower, and mirrored makeup table.

LYRA

Tucked under the eaves, our coziest room is now upgraded with a queen bed and a new leather chair. The bathroom includes a tub/shower combination and wooded views.

MIRA APARTMENT SUITE

First floor with fireplace and private entrance

This one-bedroom apartment includes all the comforts necessary for an extended stay. A remodeled full kitchen complements a cozy living room with a built-in fireplace and a loveseat sofa bed. The separate bedroom features a king bed and a second television. Enjoy views of horses and the vineyard. Outside the private entrance is a patio with bistro seating and parking. The bath features a tub/shower combination.

POLARIS

Rejuvenation awaits in this first floor room with a private entrance. This room features a king bed, newly remodeled bathroom with walk-in shower, and a spacious seating area with a pull-out sofa, which can provide sleeping accommodations for two additional guests. The king bed can also be split into two twins. Assistance bars in the bathroom and ground floor location make this room an excellent choice for those with limited mobility.

RIGEL

This spacious, freshly remodeled room provides a perfect launching point for exploring the Leelanau Peninsula. New features include a custom king bed and lounge chair and a new bathroom with a walk-in shower. In addition, it has a desk tucked in a nook with forest views for those needing a quiet place to get some work done while on vacation.

This room boasts plentiful windows for terrific views of sunrises over the horse pastures. A queen bed and modern bathroom with a rounded glass shower provide a cozy retreat after the day’s activities.
